Japanese Scroll Painting of Kannon Bosatsu in gold. Probably early 20th century. Hanging scroll, painted in gold on blue dyed silk. Depiction of Guanyin standing in three-quarter view upon a lotus and flaming mandorla behind. Fine regular script calligraphy above; probably a section from a sutra. Signed at lower right along with one seal of the artist. In ornate silk brocade mounts. Antique carved lacquer roller knobs; knobs with some wear. Painting and mountings both in very good condition. Painting 47.5" x 14.25", 80" x 20.75" overall with mounts.
