Japanese Scroll Painting of Amida Buddha. Probably early 19th century or earlier. Hanging scroll, painted with ink on paper. Depiction of Amida Nyorai, the "Buddha of Infinite Light", standing on a lotus with shining sun mandorla behind his head, with hands in Abhaya Mudra "No Fear" posture. Signed "Hoitsu" at lower right with one seal of the artist. Some slight missing areas to original paper; creasing. Painting 16" x 7", 63.5" x 9.25" overall with mount.
