WHAT CAN I SELL WITH DISTRICT AUCTION?

District can sell a variety of items for you including Fine Art, Sculpture, Antiques, Fine China, Crystal, Decorative Arts, Furnishings, Rugs, Lighting, Vintage Photography, Collectibles, Curiosities, Uniquems, and Ephemera.

We are happy to look over your collection or any of your valued items and let you know if we are the right venue for selling. If we aren’t the best match we’re happy to make recommendations for other Seattle-area dealers that might be better fit.

DO I NEED TO SUBMIT AN IMAGE?

Our form requires that you submit at least one image. If you have difficulty doing so or wish to tell us about a collection of items, rather than a single one, EMAIL US, or call us. We’ll be happy to work with you in the way that suits you best.

HOW SPECIFIC DOES MY DESCRIPTION NEED TO BE?

That’s entirely up to you, but more is simply more. At the very least, remember to indicate the size, whether it is labeled or signed, and any background or context information you may have.

WILL YOU COME LOOK AT MY THINGS?

If you live in the Seattle-area and your collection warrants a closer look we would be happy to make a house call. We will respond once we receive your submitted form to let you know if we think a personal visit from one of our staff members is the best solution.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU HAVE AUCTIONS?

We have at least one auction EVERY month and it’s ALWAYS on the Second Sunday of the month. This “Gallery” Auction features roughly 300 items spanning multiple genres of art, antiques, and items of interest. We also have regular UNRESERVED auctions for items of lesser value, and occasionally specialty auctions of cohesive collections or themes. Depending on your consignment we can often sell your items within a month.

WHAT HAPPENS IF ONE OF MY CONSIGNED ITEMS DOESN’T SELL?

If your artwork or object fails to sell, we will reach out to you to discuss the next possible steps, including offering it in one of our next auctions, offering it for sale privately, or returning it to you.
