Japanese Haboku Ink Landscape Scroll Painting After Sesshu. Hanging scroll, painted with ink on paper. Splashed ink landscape painting, featuring a typical composition of man in boat arriving to a pagoda along the river's edge, with towering cliffs and trees above partly hidden by the mists. Unsigned, in the style of Sesshu Toyo (1420 - 1506). In elaborate gold silk brocade mounts. No roller knobs. Painting has some minor creases, otherwise in very good condition. Painting 37.25" x 14.5", 72" x 18" overall with mounts.
