"Tuileries". Crayon/ pastel, colored pencil, and pencil on heavyweight paper. Pencil signed and titled lower right. Pencil titled and 26 in circle notation to the reverse. Water markings along lower left side and bottom egdes, even toning, a few small foxing spots, etc. Hoover was lithographer, illustrator and cartoonist . He was also a cartoonist for the New York Herald Tribune and the Brooklyn Eagle Newspaper, illustrating daily comic strips for a series titled Mr. and Mrs. from 1930–47. 20 3/8" x 24 7/8" paper. Includes painted wood frame with matching 26 in circle notation to cardboard backing; 23" x 28"
