"Patchy Fog, Clearing by Midday". 1973 mixed media on paper original cartoon drawing for the New Yorker. Depicts a man and woman seated at an outside table having coffee; he reading a newspaper weather forcast and she obscured by fog. Label taped to reverse: "Copyright 1973 The New Yorker Magazine Inc. Not to be reprinted in whole or part or reproduced in any form without written permission from The New Yorker" along with pencil written A 2973 notation. Good condition; age toning, etc. Stevenson (1929-2017) was an American illustrator and author of over 100 children's books. His cartoons appeared regularly in The New Yorker magazine. 12 1/8" x 15 5/8". Unframed.
