Description:

Early 19th century Wedgwood Rosso Antico Egyptian Revival Tea Set. Consisting of teapot, covered sugar bowl and creamer. Teapot and sugar bowl with crocodile finial knobs above various applied Egyptian symbols including winged sun of Horus, sphinx, ankh and canopic jars, leading to central strapwork band all above geometricized relief adjacent to foot rim. All pieces with impressed "WEDGWOOD" marks; Skinner auction label to underside of creamer. Repairs to teapot handle; patinated sterling silver spout repair; restoration replacement to head of crocodile. Sugar with restoration to crocodile tail. Creamer in very good condition. Teapot 4" H x 8" across; sugar 3.25" x 5.25"; creamer 3" x 6".
