Wedgwood Rosso Antico Dolphin Tripod Pastille Burner. Early 19th century. Pastille burner held by three grotesque dolphins on base with applied laurel below. Early "WEDGWOOD" mark at base. Break repairs (with visible glue residue) to all three dolphin tails. Includes rosso antico lid (from a different piece) with applied scene of Athena making peace, surrounded by zodiac symbols. Small chip to lid. Some small missing areas to basalt star protrusions above tails. Measures 4" tall; 4" across at mouth. The Myra O. Karp Collection.
