Description:

18th century Wedgwood painted majolica bough pot. White stoneware painted with a slightly iridescent brown glaze between streaks of vivid green delineating contours of fluted body and pedestal base, with scrolling motif above leading to pierced lid. Impressed "Wedgwood", "2" and "H" marks to base. Glazed-over production flaw at rim; small chips and slight crack to lid; to cracks at interior. 8.5" H x 4.5" across at widest point.
