19th century Wedgwood blue dip jasperware teapot. Of round form; the handle in Egyptian revival style and the spout with Corinthian motifs; the body with maiden making sacrifice, putti, and cupid shooting arrow at Psyche bound to a tree. Impressed "WEDGWOOD" and "S" marks. Adhesion to surface by putti; restoration to spout. 5" H x 9.5" across handle to spout. Together with a 20th century trivet with oak leaf and acorn design. Impressed "WEDGWOOD" and "MADE IN ENGLAND" marks. In very good condition. 5.5" D. The Myra O. Karp Collection.
