Description:

4 piece tea set of early 19th century Wedgwood black basalt. Includes teapot, lidded sugar bowl and two creamers all featuring classical figures performing sacrifices and offerings. Sugar bowl and cylindrical creamer each with impressed "WEDGWOOD" and "30" marks to underside, ovoid creamer with impressed "WEDGWOOD" and "24" marks. Some adhesions to sugar bowl footrim; all pieces in good overall condition. Sugar bowl 3.5" H x 4" dia., creamers 2.75" H x 5" across & 2.5" x 5.5". Teapot with impressed "WEDGWOOD" and "81" marks. Some slight discoloration to later-applied finish near spout; overall in good condition with minor expected surface wear. 5" H x 9" across handle to spout.
