(1): Three plates from the “Card Motto” series: “By Doing Nothing, We Learn To Do Ill, “Fly The Pleasure That Bites Tomorrow, “The Circles Of Our Felicities Make Short Arches”.Transfer designs with molded border and applied blue glaze. Impressed “WEDGWOOD” and “HTG” date marks. Very slight losses to blue glaze; in very good condition overall. 9” across. (2): Octagonal plate with enameled Egyptian riding camel and strumming the lute; checkered cavetto; exotic birds to border. Impressed “WEDGWOOD” and “3NB” date marks. In very good condition. 7.75”. (3): Lobed dish with stencil and hand-applied pheasants; stencil gilt pheasants to border on black ground; gilt rim. “WEGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND” Portland Vase mark among paper labels. In very good condition. 8”. (4): A dish with transfer portrait of Josiah Wedgwood to commemorate the Bicentennial in 1930. In very good condition. 9”. The Myra O. Karp Collection.
