Description:

Signed British Case Alaska Boundary Portfolio of Maps, Appendix Vol. 3,1895. All maps signed in ink pen by the Hay–Herbert Treaty members and dated Tuesday, Oct 3, 1903. Signatures include Americans Elihu Root (Secretary of War), Henry Cabot Lodge (senator from Massachusetts) and George Turner (ex-senator from Washington); two Canadians: Sir Louis A. Jette (Lieutenant Governor of Quebec) and Allen B. Aylesworth, and one Briton (Baron Alverstone). Porftfolio icludes 5 folded maps, 26.25x15.75" sections affixed to backing linen with overall sizes 59x40" (3) 59x54" (1) and 71x53" (1) . Portfolio case measures 27.5x17" with quarter red morocco over red cloth, gilt title inlay to front board and spine. Condition Good.
