Primitive antique wooden hand crafted and hand forged tobacco/meat grinder, early 1800's, marked "D. Glassbrenner". David Glassbrenner (1798-1872) was a Kentucky Long Rifle maker and gunsmith in Harrisburg, PA in the early to mid 1800's. The grinder is in very good condition with wear consistent with age, use. Measures approximately 17" h (25.5" to top of handle) x 6.5" w (18" with handle extended) x 6" deep. Interior blades rotate when handle is turned, cover opens to reveal blades.
