(1) Photograph pen inscribed by Puig "For Ronald a memory of the old days at the MGM commissary, most affectionately. Manuel". Mounted to beveled mat board. 6.75" x 9". (2) Typewritten manuscript page with many handwritten edits in colored inks and pencil. Large "IV-Coco" in red at near top of page; Coco was Puig's boyhood nickname. Attached at upper left corner to beveled mat board. 11" x 8.75". Both attached to fabric covered backing mat 22" x 12". PUIG: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manuel_Puig RONALD CHRIST: Professor Emeritus of English at Rutgers University and a noted authority on Latin American art and culture. He has edited and translated many books, including works by Jorge Luis Borges, Mario Vargas Llosa, Manuel Puig, and Diamela Eltit. He won the Kayden National Translation Prize for his translation of Eltit’s “E. Luminata.” He is cofounder of Lumen Books and the president of PEN New Mexico.
