Description:

A Japanese Pottery Bowl After Ogata Kenzan (1663 - 1743 Japan). Of simple form with three chrysanthemum flowers in relief, with applied blue and yellow glazes to leaves and petals on an aubergine glazed ground. Interior painted with a thin blue glaze. Potted with a buff red porcelaneous stoneware. Signed “Kenzan” on base in white and black glaze. In very good condition. Measures 3” tall, 4.75” diameter approx.
