Description:

Neoclassical style with swags and medallions to body. London hallmarks with S date letter for 1773 and TE (possibly Thomas Ellis) maker's mark below spout. Inside lid with TE and lion passant stamps. Carved ebony handle. Hand engraved scratch weight of 23:9 to foot underside (along with other later engraved numbers to each corner). Very good condition; lid sits slightly high and slight rear tilt bend to finial. 719 total grams approx. 12 1/2" H approx.
