Description:

"Backrow", 1950. George Gulacsik (1923-2010). Silver gelatin photograph printed on lustre satin paper; mounted to textured mat board with ink signature and date lower left edge. Pencil inscribed #12 and titled to the reverse. Clear sharp image in very good condition; very small "rub" along top edge at center. Mat with expected signs of some age wear, some toning, etc. Photograph 7 1/2" x 9 1/4". Mat 20" x 15". Gulacsik was a professional photographer, graphic artist, and sculptor who was the official photographer for the construction of the Space Needle from its start on April 17, 1961 to its completion in 1962 with the opening of the World’s Fair.
