Description:

Amethyst tone glass with iridescent finish. Engraved signature E Eisch and 1967 date to bottom. Eisch's pieces of the 1960s and '70s were rooted in functional forms such as the vase, the bottle, the pitcher and the stein, although the usefulness of these vessels was never Eisch's goal. Goblet possibly from Eisch's time working in Harvey Littleton's studio while a visiting professor at the University of Wisconsin in 1967. He has also taught various glass subjects at the Pilchuck Glass School in 1981, 1983, and 1984. Excellent condition. Provenance: Anne Gould Hauberg collection. 10.5" H approx.
