Description:

Chinese Peking Opera General's Costume. Cica mid 20th century. White and blue silk base with embroidered four-claw dragons chasing pearls among rocks and waves, with shou longevity character among scales at breastplate. Includes stiff lacquered board helmet painted with metallic silver; adorned with faux pearls and felt balls. Lot also includes four Qing Dynasty standards, double sword of laminated wood, ear and hair ornaments. Robe and accessories all appear to be in very good condition, with only some slight toning to blue dye at interior of robe. Robe measures 66.5" across arm-to-arm; 63" long from collar to end of apron. Helmet 7" H x 8" across. Each standard 30" long approx.
