18th century Chinese blue and white Bleu de Hue porcelain with metal rim. Made for the Vietnamese market and bearing the four imperial characters mark reading Noi phu thi trung as commissioned for the Trinh Lord. Design of a dragon amongst stylized waves and clouds with a Zhou symbol peeking out. Underside with bamboo and leaf sprays. Light surface wear and light glaze pitting. 1” hairline from rim down right side of bowl (visible to inside and outside; bowl rings when tapped). Two tiny small inner rim nicks. 1 1/4" H x 5 7/8" dia. approx.
