"Rail Splitter", 1987. Signed lower left and dated '87 lower left. Artist notations to reverse with title, medium, dimensions, and "Series 1983-1987. Includes artist's address of 25 Valley St., Tomales, Ca., 94971 and "75" within a circle. Painted and glaze pine frame. Byron Randall founded both the Artist's Guild of San Francisco, in 1945 (serving as President), and the San Francisco Graphic Arts Workshop in 1947. Randall's wife, Emmy Lou Packard, created murals with Diego Rivera and was lifelong friends and associates with Rivera and artist Frida Kahlo. 24" x 24" masonite panel; 28" x 28" frame
