Description:

Antique Tibetan silver metal Demaru ritual drum. Likely early 20th century or earlier. Stretched leather attached to a wood frame on each side, with hand-chased and repousse metal support between. With Buddhist Emblems hammered on both upper and lower registers, with spirals interrupted by inset semiprecious stones. Belt hook extrudes from one end. In good condition, with wear expected for age. Measures 4.5" H approx., each drum's diameter 8" approx.
