Antique original watercolor on paper of a pair of "Nashville Warbler" birds on a Spicewood tree after John James Audubon. Artist unidentified. Hand calligraphy title and info in ink to center bottom and numbered #89 in pencil top left corner. A very close representation of Audubon's original although the colors appear more muted / darker than the original print. Good condition; even toning from previous mat, some foxing spots, small water spots, etc. Unframed. Area of toning 11 1/2" x 8 1/2". Sheet 14 1/4" x 11 1/4". From the estate of Robert Goodwin, Colgate University Professor, longtime collector, and central New York antique dealer.
