Late 19th / Early 20th century six-panel giltwood folding screen, each screen containing a French print including "Le Meneut de la Mariee", (Philibert-Louis Debucourt), "La Rixe", (Charles-Melchior Descourtis), "La Noce au Chateau" (Philibert-Louis Debucourt), "La Noce de Village" (Nicolas Antoine Taunay), "Le Tambourin" (Nicolas Antoine Taunay), and "La Foire de Village" (Nicolas Antoine Taunay). Each engraving rests under glass (one panel missing glass) above panels of damask depicting amphorae and trailing flowers, the frame having arcade molding below musical instruments, torch, bagpipes, quiver, and hat modeled in the round. Fabric panels are later replacements. Fading, toning and stains to engrvaings; some expected age cracks to frame and slight losses to molding at frame top. Each panel measures 60" H x 13.5" L.
