Hand carved jade plaque depicting an elephant with its head turned back towards an elaborate saddle cloth supporting a large jardiniere. Rosewood box inset with silver wire borders. Plaque appears in excellent condition. Box with some age shrinkage, slight age seperations, etc. Silver wire with some lifting, areaes of loss, etc. Circa Qing Dynasty / 19th C. 2 3/4" H x 4 7/8" x 4 1/8" approx.
