Description:

Antique Chinese Carved Rosewood Hexagonal Box. Late 19th or early 20th century. Lid finely carved with archaic roundel surrounding central flower petal and ruyi head jade insert, with trailing vines and lotus heads on side paneling complementing inset jade lotus buds above. Body featuring bat with ornaments and trailing lotus heads. In very good condition, some residue from stain at base. Feet have some felt pad residue. Measures 6.5" tall, 13.5" diameter overall.
