Hand carved hardwood figure of a tiger carrying a woman in its jaws. Based on a Burmese folk tale about two brothers who fall in love with a young woman who rejects them, so they send a tiger to kill her. Excellent condition with aged patina. Circa late 19th/ early 20th C. Figure 10" H. Total height 11.5".
