Description:

Heavy solid copper card case box overlaid with hand chased silver panels. Marked "Casebox" on lid, with anglo-influenced winged angels above. Front of case with central medallion and two peacocks below, with tails intertwined and intricately embellished. On reverse are four Hindu deities, two on mounts, with winged protector deities on lid above. No apparent hallmarks. With wear expected for age, otherwise good condition. 5 5/8' x 4" x 1/2". Includes photocopy letter with history story of the case from E.J. Spicer Antiques NYC dated 1928.
