19th Century Verge Quarter Hour Chime Skeleton Clock. Likely Austrian or French. Verge escapement with pinwheel balance, three train going barrel movement with quarter hour chimes. Hand painted enamel chapter ring with chased floral openwork face; Adam & Eve sub-dial at top with serpent shaped hand that rotates at 15 minute intervals. Base contains music box marked "Willenbacher & Rzeritschee in Prag No1471 16783". Czech folk art style painted wood square base with tripod round pedestal; base measures 11x11", clock 18" in height overall. Missing fitted glass dome, 8" diameter groove for dome, dome height at least 12". Clock winds, runs, and chimes, accuracy has not been extensively tested. Music box does not run but seems in good condition and could be repaired, clock movement not connected to music box. Some wear to enamel chapter ring with crazing and edge wear. Overall very good condition. Clock has been in the possession of a Czech family for multiple generations.
